Introduction
Welcome to LaxHornet. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of LaxHornet, including our website, progressive web app, stat tracking tools, team management features, Live Share features, exports, launch materials, and related services.
LaxHornet is operated by David DeGrasse, a Connecticut-based operator/developer.
By accessing or using LaxHornet, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use LaxHornet.
For questions, contact us at degrassed@gmail.com.
1. What LaxHornet Is
LaxHornet is a mobile-first youth lacrosse stat tracking app designed for parents, guardians, team administrators, coaches, and authorized adults.
LaxHornet helps users track lacrosse game events, organize stats by approved player and team, review game and season performance, generate player impact summaries, share read-only live game updates, export or back up certain data, and manage team access and roster approval workflows.
LaxHornet is intended to support youth sports tracking, family communication, and player development conversations. It is not an official league scoring system, coaching certification tool, medical tool, recruiting service, or professional evaluation platform.
2. Adult Use Only
LaxHornet accounts are intended for adults. You may use LaxHornet only if you are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and authorized to enter into these Terms.
Children may not create LaxHornet accounts.
Youth player information may only be entered, managed, approved, tracked, or shared by a parent, legal guardian, coach, team administrator, or another adult with proper authorization.
By entering, uploading, approving, tracking, syncing, exporting, or sharing youth player information, you represent that you have the right and authority to do so.
3. Parent, Guardian, Coach, and Admin Responsibilities
LaxHornet depends on responsible adult use.
You are responsible for entering accurate account, team, player, and game information; keeping your login credentials secure; using team codes responsibly; requesting access only to players you are authorized to track; approving access requests only for authorized parents, guardians, coaches, or trackers; sharing Live Share links only with trusted recipients; avoiding sensitive or private information in notes, tags, exports, or shared recaps; complying with team, league, school, club, and family privacy expectations; and using LaxHornet in a respectful and lawful way.
Team admins are responsible for managing team codes, roster information, access requests, parent approvals, and roster accuracy.
Parent Trackers are responsible for tracking only approved player/team contexts and not attempting to access unauthorized players, teams, rosters, or accounts.
4. No Child Accounts
Children are not permitted to create accounts or submit personal information directly to LaxHornet.
If we learn that a child has created an account or directly submitted personal information without appropriate adult involvement, we may delete or disable that account and associated information.
If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at degrassed@gmail.com.
5. Account Registration and Security
To use certain LaxHornet features, you may need to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your password secure, not share your account with unauthorized people, notify us if you believe your account has been compromised, and use LaxHornet only for lawful and authorized purposes.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts if we believe the account has been misused, compromised, used to access unauthorized data, or used in violation of these Terms.
6. Team Codes and Player Access
LaxHornet uses team codes, roster verification, and admin approval to help limit access to player data. Parent Trackers may request access to a player by entering a team code and jersey number. Admins may approve or reject access requests.
You agree not to guess, misuse, scrape, publish, or distribute team codes without permission; request access to a player you are not authorized to track; approve unauthorized access requests; attempt to view, edit, export, or share roster data you are not authorized to access; or circumvent role-based access controls.
Access approval does not transfer ownership of team or roster data. It only grants limited use of LaxHornet features for the approved player/team context.
8. Notes, Tags, and User-Entered Content
LaxHornet may allow users to add notes, tags, custom labels, game details, roster information, player context, and other user-entered content.
You agree not to enter or upload medical information, health information, disciplinary information, school-record information, highly sensitive family information, private comments about a child, coach, parent, or teammate, offensive or unlawful content, or content you do not have permission to provide.
Notes and tags may appear in private reviews, synced account data, selected exports, or private backups. The hardened output that excludes them from Live Share is pending deliberate production activation. Use caution and do not enter sensitive information in notes or tags for games you intend to share.
We may remove, restrict, or disable content that we believe violates these Terms, creates legal risk, threatens player privacy or safety, or harms the operation of LaxHornet.
9. User Content and License to Operate the Service
You retain whatever rights you have in the content and data you submit to LaxHornet.
By entering, uploading, syncing, saving, exporting, importing, or sharing content through LaxHornet, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, display, transmit, sync, back up, modify for formatting, and otherwise use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve LaxHornet.
This license is limited to operating LaxHornet and providing the features you use. We do not claim ownership of your team's roster information, player information, game data, notes, tags, or exported files.
10. LaxHornet Intellectual Property
LaxHornet, including the app, source code, design, layout, user interface, branding, logos, text, graphics, launch materials, scoring summaries, Game Impact presentation, possession-impact presentation, workflows, and related materials, is owned by David DeGrasse, LaxHornet, or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, mirror, resell, or create derivative works based on LaxHornet except as expressly allowed by these Terms or by written permission from us.
Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of LaxHornet or its intellectual property. You may use LaxHornet only for your own authorized family, team, or administrative use.
11. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use LaxHornet for unlawful purposes; access or attempt to access accounts, teams, players, rosters, or games without authorization; interfere with security or role-based access controls; reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or extract the app or its data; use automated tools to overload or disrupt the app; upload malicious code; bypass authentication, team codes, approval workflows, or permissions; misrepresent your identity or authority; harass, shame, defame, or target a player, parent, coach, official, or team; enter sensitive child information into notes, tags, or recaps; use LaxHornet for gambling, wagering, scouting for compensation, or unauthorized commercial exploitation; resell or provide paid access to LaxHornet without written permission; or use LaxHornet in a way that violates team, league, school, club, or tournament rules.
We may investigate and take action if we believe you have violated these rules.
12. Youth Sports Disclaimer
LaxHornet is intended to help families and authorized adults track and understand youth lacrosse activity.
LaxHornet does not guarantee perfect stat accuracy, official scoring accuracy, coaching accuracy, athletic potential, recruiting outcomes, player rankings, scholarship outcomes, team selection outcomes, or medical, psychological, or developmental conclusions.
Game Impact is a LaxHornet-created summary of selected recorded events. It is not a coach grade, player rating, ranking, or complete measure of performance or development. Missing or incorrectly recorded events can change the result. Possession metrics, takeaways, recaps, and summaries are informational tools, not medical assessments, mental-health assessments, recruiting evaluations, or official coaching evaluations.
Youth sports involve judgment, context, development, and human factors that no app can fully measure.
13. Stat Tracking and Data Accuracy
LaxHornet relies on user-entered events and user-managed roster information. Stats may be incomplete or inaccurate, a tracker may miss plays, different users may interpret lacrosse events differently, edits and deletions may affect totals and summaries, offline use and sync conditions may affect when data appears across devices, and exports or backups depend on the data available when they are created.
You are responsible for reviewing and correcting your own tracked game information.
14. Offline Use, Sync, and Backups
LaxHornet may store certain information locally on your device to support fast sideline tracking and offline use. If you use LaxHornet with an account, certain information may sync to cloud services. Sync may depend on internet connectivity, browser settings, device settings, app version, and service availability.
We do not guarantee that offline data will always be preserved, sync will always occur immediately, data will never be lost, local device storage will remain available, deleted items can always be recovered, or exports and backups will always be complete.
You are responsible for creating and protecting your own backups and exports where available.
15. Exports, Backups, and Imported Files
LaxHornet treats recap sharing, selected CSV export, and private full backup as different purposes. CSV exports recorded facts for a selected scope by default; notes and tags require explicit selection. A Full Backup is a sensitive private recovery file and requires confirmation before download.
Importing a compatible backup merges eligible saved games without granting team or player access, changing account ownership, replacing existing same-ID games, or activating Live Share.
Once you export data from LaxHornet, you are responsible for storing it securely, sharing it carefully, deleting it when no longer needed, avoiding unauthorized disclosure, and complying with team, family, league, school, or club rules.
We are not responsible for files after you export, download, send, upload, or share them outside LaxHornet.
16. Family Recaps, Guardian Notes, and Shared Summaries
LaxHornet may generate or allow users to copy family recaps, summaries, or other plain-English takeaways based on tracked stats and game data. These summaries are informational and may be incomplete or imperfect.
You are responsible for reviewing any recap or summary before sharing it. Do not share summaries containing private, sensitive, medical, disciplinary, or inappropriate information.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, recaps and summaries are not official team statements, coach evaluations, or league records.
17. Third-Party Services
LaxHornet may rely on third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, cloud sync, database storage, email, analytics, payments, or support. Your use of LaxHornet may also be subject to certain third-party terms or policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, data practices, or security incidents except where required by law.
Current or expected providers may include Supabase for authentication, database, and cloud sync; GitHub Pages or another hosting provider for hosting; Resend or another email/support provider for email; and other providers if analytics, support, or paid features are added later.
18. Fees and Paid Features
LaxHornet may currently be free, in beta, or offered without paid subscriptions. We may later offer paid plans, premium features, team plans, club plans, exports, analytics, or other paid services.
If paid features are introduced, we will provide pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before charging users.
19. Beta, Updates, and Service Changes
LaxHornet may change over time. We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or remove features at any time, including tracking categories, Game Review features, Season Dashboard features, Live Share features, export/import tools, admin tools, team access workflows, scoring or summary presentation, and free or paid feature availability.
We may also update the app, service worker, cache, versioning, backend services, or supported browsers. We are not required to continue offering any particular feature forever.
20. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to LaxHornet if we believe you violated these Terms, misused team codes, accessed or attempted to access unauthorized player/team data, exposed youth player information inappropriately, used LaxHornet unlawfully or abusively, your account was compromised, your use creates security, privacy, legal, or operational risk, or we stop offering LaxHornet or a related feature.
You may stop using LaxHornet at any time. To request account deletion, contact degrassed@gmail.com.
Some information may remain where needed for legal compliance, security, backup integrity, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or sync/delete integrity.
21. Privacy
Your use of LaxHornet is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information, including youth player information, account information, game data, Live Share information, local/offline data, and cloud sync data.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding privacy practices, the Privacy Policy controls for that issue.
22. No Warranties
LaxHornet is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and security.
We do not guarantee that LaxHornet will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or available at all times.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, David DeGrasse, LaxHornet, its owners, developers, contractors, service providers, affiliates, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, lost opportunities, service interruptions, data loss, or unauthorized access arising out of or relating to LaxHornet.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to LaxHornet will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use LaxHornet in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
24. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless David DeGrasse, LaxHornet, its owners, developers, contractors, service providers, affiliates, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use or misuse of LaxHornet; violation of these Terms; violation of another person's rights; unauthorized entry, approval, tracking, export, or sharing of player, team, or game data; misuse of Live Share links; user-entered content, notes, tags, exports, imports, or shared recaps; or violation of team, league, club, school, tournament, or family rules.
25. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us at degrassed@gmail.com and try to resolve the dispute informally. Your message should include your name, account email, a description of the issue, and the outcome you are requesting.
We will attempt to respond within a reasonable time. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the dispute will be handled as described below.
26. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, any lawsuit or legal proceeding arising from or related to LaxHornet or these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
You and LaxHornet consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot legally be waived.
27. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide notice in the app, by email, or by another reasonable method.
Your continued use of LaxHornet after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using LaxHornet.
